Freshwater Aquaculture Development Centre (FADC)

Freshwater Aquaculture Development Centre (FADC) is one of technical units under the Directorate General of Aquaculture with area of operation covering the whole country of Indonesia.

Based the Minister of Agriculture's Decree No. 346/Kpts/OT.210/05 of 1994, the functions assigned to FADC are to carry out the application of freshwater aquaculture technology and fishery resource and environmental conversation.

This covers :

1. Application of breeding technology and fish seed distribution.
2. Production of broodstock and fish seed.
3. Application of aquaculture technology.
4. Application of fish resource and environmental conversation management.
5. Administrative matters.
